Phosphorus Recovery System

Swing Engineering's Phosphorus Recovery System contributes to achieving a recycling-oriented society through phosphorus recovery from night soil (human waste and septic tank sludge). Swing Engineering provides a phosphorus recovery system suitable for the characteristics of the feed water, choosing between HAP method or MAP method.

Features

[HAP method]
1. High-purity phosphorus can be recovered by installing the System after the conventional biological treatment or membrane bioreactor processes.

2. The recovered phosphorus substances (HAP: hydroxyapatite) can be utilized as a feed stock for phosphate fertilizer.

[MAP method]
1. Combined use with the Value Sludge System, which directly dewaters night soil, enables simultaneous achievement of phosphorus recovery and production of combustion improver.

2. The recovered phosphorus substance (MAP: magnesium ammonium phosphate) can be utilized as a feed stock for phosphate fertilizer.

3. The MAP method is also applied to night soil treatment facilities dedicated for reducing only sludge in night soil brought in by tankers and the filtrate is discharged to sewers without any wastewater treatment there.
